It had been raining like crazy all morning, so I though maybe after the ferry ride to another island it would clear up. I could not have been more wrong. Possibly the heaviest rain of the trip thus far but i put on my togs and battled through to the main attraction of the island: the space centre (種子島宇宙センター).
Once I arrived the rain stopped (how about that for timing…) And I had a look around the awesome rocket museum and the park / launch pads attached. Believe it or not but this is the space centre that Pokemon base their Moss Deep Space station off. Here is the pic from Pokemon Generations.
It was actually super cool and I want to go again, but maybe with my rocket enthusiast Dan so he can teach me everything I need to know.
Unfortunately due to the crappy weather of late.
They postponed the launch of the H-IIB Rocket scheduled on the 11th of September 2018, so now I won’t be able to see it.
Weather for my last night camping was an absolute sh*tter, but ended up meeting old mate and it ended up being an okay night.
Oh well, you win some you lose some. I’m just happy to be going home!
